PRIVACY POLICY

Ocean Eyes Hawaii (“we”, “us”) is a photo and video team based in Honolulu, Hawaii. This policy explains what information we collect on www.oceaneyeshawaii.com and how we use it.

1. Information you send us

When you fill out our booking form, we receive the details you enter: your email, name, phone, Instagram handle, the type of photoshoot, the island, the date, your message and how you found us. We use them only to reply to your request, plan your photoshoot and keep records of our bookings.

2. The chat on our website

Before the chat starts we ask for your name, email and — if you want — your Instagram handle, so we can answer you even if you close the window. The conversation itself is answered by an automated assistant: it tells you so, and it hands you to a real person for anything it cannot answer. We keep the messages and the details you gave us for one year, so we can see what people ask us and improve the answers. You can ask us to delete them at any time.

Your messages are processed on our own computer in Honolulu. If it is unavailable, they are sent instead to Google's Gemini service, which processes them on our behalf and does not use them to train its models.

3. Analytics and cookies

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use our website: which pages are viewed, the type of device and browser, the approximate location and how you arrived here. Google Analytics uses cookies for this. It does not tell us who you are. You can block cookies in your browser settings or install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.

4. Security

Our website runs on Cloudflare. To protect the booking form from spam, Cloudflare Turnstile checks that a real person is sending it, and Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address to keep the site secure.

5. Who else handles your information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the services we use to run the website and answer you: Cloudflare (hosting and security), Resend (delivering form messages to our inbox), Google (our email inbox, Google Analytics and, as a fallback, the Gemini assistant behind our chat) and Telegram (internal notifications for our team about new requests and chats).

6. How long we keep it

We keep booking requests as long as we need them to answer you, deliver your photos and keep our business records. Chat conversations are deleted after one year.

7. Your choices

You can ask us to show, correct or delete the information you sent us. Contact us through the booking form or on Instagram at @oceaneyes.hawaii.

8. Children

Our website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

If we change this policy, we will update this page.
