HAWAII VIDEOGRAPHER

Photographs keep the faces; video keeps the voices. We shoot both at the same session, with one team, across all four main islands.

Every couple who books a proposal says the same thing afterwards: they remember the photographs, but they cannot remember exactly what was said. That is what video is for here — not a cinematic trailer with a licensed soundtrack, but your own voices, the wind, and somebody laughing off-camera.

Because we are one team rather than two companies, the film and the photographs come from the same hour. You stand on the beach once.

WHAT WE FILM

Proposal films

The walk, the question and the three seconds afterwards, recorded from a distance while the photographer works. The sound matters as much as the picture here: what people say in that moment is usually unrepeatable.

Elopements and weddings

Vows in your own voices, the exchange of rings and leis, the speeches if there are any. A short film you will watch on anniversaries, rather than a two-hour edit nobody opens twice.

Family and couple sessions

A minute or two of movement alongside the photographs — kids running, hair in the wind, the ocean doing what it does. It ages better than stills alone, especially with small children.

Aerial footage

Drone shots of the coastline where the location allows them. Rules vary by island and by land ownership, and some of the best-known spots are closed to drones entirely — we check before promising anything.

HOW WE WORK

One team, one session

The videographer works beside the photographer at the same time, so you are not standing through two separate shoots. Nothing is staged twice for the camera.

Sound is planned, not hoped for

For vows and proposals we deal with the wind in advance — placement, timing and the direction we work from. Beautiful footage with unusable audio is the commonest failure in beach video.

Short by design

A highlight film of a minute or two for a session, a few minutes for a ceremony. If you want the full ceremony as well, we record it and deliver it separately.

Delivered with the photos

Stills reach you within 24 hours. Video takes longer — it is edited rather than selected — and we give you the date when we book.

Adding video to a shoot you are already planning? Mention it when you write — see elopements, weddings or proposals, and our prices for the photography side.

VIDEO FAQ

Do you film and photograph at the same time?

Yes, and that is the point: one booking, one session, two sets of results. A photographer alone cannot do both well, and two separate companies means repeating everything twice.

How much does video cost?

It depends on what you want — a short film beside a session is very different from full coverage of a wedding day. Tell us the date and the plan and we will quote it. Our photography rates are on the prices page.

Can you use a drone?

Often, but not everywhere. Aerial rules differ between state land, county parks and national parks, and several famous locations prohibit drones outright. We check your specific spot before it goes in the plan.

Will the wind ruin the sound of our vows?

Not if it is planned for. We choose the angle and the time of day with the trades in mind, and on windy days we move the ceremony to a sheltered pocket of the same beach.

Which islands do you film on?

All four of the main ones. Home is Waikiki; Maui, Kauai and Hawaii Island mean a short flight, quoted separately from the filming itself.

What do we actually receive?

A short edited film, plus the unedited ceremony if you asked for it, delivered as files you can download and keep. Nothing is locked behind a gallery that expires.
